If you’ve been in your WordPress dashboard lately you haven’t missed the notice to upgrade to the latest version 3.0.5. Like most minor upgrades, this one is for security purposes. However unlike most times I recommend you pass on this one.
There’s been a lot of buzz in the WordPress community about problems with this newest version so it’s best to play it safe and stand pat this time. Besides WP 3.1 is due out very soon.
Speaking of WP 3.1 I also suggest you don’t rush into upgrading to this one either…particularly if you are a WishList Member user (and most of you are). With these major upgrades it’s best to wait until we get the “all clear” from the WishList development team before making the switch. Aned even then it won’t hurt to wait a little longer.
Like any business it’s best to be certain any new software works properly before switching. The last thing you need is to aggravate your members for every shiny object that comes your way.
Let us be the pioneer (arrows in the back and all) for you. I’ll let you know when the coast is clear.
