As you may or may not know, this and several of my other sites is built with the Thesis Theme. It’s not the only theme I work with, in fact I’m doing more and more work with Studiopress Themes lately. Theme selection is sometimes the most difficult decision when creating a WordPress site.
There is no one solution for every situation. And I will usually give you several options when it’s time to make a choice. However it’s
Thesis is an excellent choice for sites that are heavy on content (like membership sites) because it gives you so much control over the font style, size spacing and color.
To give you a little background, here’s a short video all about Thesis.
Hi, Any idea about thesis 1.7 and wishlist intergration currently? Would it be OK to upgrade?
Charl, Thesis 1.7 is still in beta so personally I’m going to wait until it’s officially released. Then I’m going to test it on a demo site. Obviously I love the theme bu I prefer to be cautious when using on a membership site. It has so many bells and whistles there is potential for conflicts.
The only issue I have with 1.6 is that protected pages with hide/show on still show up in the page nav. It’s a minor problem for me and a non-issue for my clients who use Thesis. But others have opted for a different theme because of it. There may be a fix but I haven’t spent much time looking for it.
My theory is to proceed with caution. That being said I’m anxious to take it for a spin. The new features sound pretty slick.
